Researchers discover a 1.7 million year old man-made bridge

It seems that researchers have confirmed that “Adam’s Bridge” is in fact an artificial bridge constructed 1,700,000 years ago. Located in the Palk Strait, in the Indian Ocean there is a particular geographical area, a thin strip of land that connects the south of India with Sri Lanka. It is called “Adam’s Bridge”.

Adam’s Bridge is believed to be the remains of an ancient pre-flood bridge. Possibly, the first ever bridge built on Earth.

Even though historians, archaeologists and researchers believe that the first complex civilizations appeared on Earth some 5000 years ago, today, with all the discoveries that have been made, we know that mankind existed much before on Earth than mainstream scholars tell us. Through the study of discoveries like this, we can understand the complexity of our distant past. This ancient bridge was reportedly passable on foot up to the 15th century until storms deepened the channel: temple records seem to say that Adam’s Bridge was completely above sea level until it broke in a cyclone in AD 1480.

Several researchers do not share the mainstream views of science. Open minded researchers like Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock have proposed that monuments such as those found on the Giza plateau are much older than history is telling us.  Therefore, their theories are labeled as impossible and are not even taken into consideration. This is where science fails miserably. But we know for a fact that there have been dozens of other incredible discoveries which science has labeled as impossible since they do not seem to fit into the strictly selective view of the scientific community.

However, there are many ancient cultures that talk about catastrophic events such as flood; Sumerian, Greek, Chinese, Native American. And many other cultures speek of deeds that today, seem impossible to us and are therefore considered as “myths”. The Chimalpopoca describe conditions during the Great Flood and relate how people tried to escape the disaster:”The sky drew near to the Earth and in the space of one day all was drowned. The mountains themselves were covered with water. ….a tremendous hurricane that carried away trees, mounds, houses, and the largest edifices, notwithstanding which many men and women escaped, principally in caves and places where the great hurricane could not reach them. All this were in darkness, without seeing the light of the sun, nor the moon, that the wind had brought them.”

It is also believed that evidence of a great flood has been recorded in monuments around the globe. Researchers suggest that ancient sites such as the Giza Plateau, seem to have impressed into their mounts, a chronological reference pointing towards a global catastrophe that occurred over 13,000 years ago.

According to website

Dr. Badrinarayanan, the former director of the Geological Survey of India performed a survey of this structure and concluded that it was man-made. Dr. Badrinarayanan and his team drilled 10 bore holes along the alignment of Adam’s Bridge. What he discovered was startling. About 6 meters below the surface he found a consistent layer of calcareous sand stone, corals and boulder like materials. His team was surprised when they discovered a layer of loose sand, some 4-5 meters further down and then hard rock formations below that.

A team of divers went down to physically examine the bridge. The boulders that they observed were not composed of a typical marine formation. They were identified as having come from either side of the causeway. Dr. Badrinarayanan also indicates that there is evidence of ancient quarrying in these areas. His team concluded that materials from either shore were placed upon the sandy bottom of the water to form the causeway.

As technology has advanced, research has become much easier for archaeologists. This has allowed them to discovered a significant number of ancient structures, many of which cannot be explained with the commonly accepted methodology offered by mainstream researchers. Is it possible that this recent discovery is a piece of evidence that is telling us that the flood is more than just a myth?

In recent years numerous discoveries have been made which challenge mainstream history and archaeology. Some of these discoveries have been firmly rejected by researchers since they do not seem to fit into modern-day history.

One of the most incredible discoveries in recent years was made possible thanks to high-definition images of the Earth from space, Google Earth is another great tool in recent years.

According to some researchers, one of the most striking pieces of evidence of a civilization that flourished before the cataclysm, 13,000 years ago, is represented by what is called today as “Adam’s Bridge”, a narrow strip of land 30 km in length connecting southern India with Sri Lanka. For a long time it was considered that this strip of land was a natural formation. However, the satellite images taken by NASA in early 2003, have sparked intense debate among scientists, since, according to some, the structure appears to be of artificial origin. The photos, in fact, show a curious pattern in the way the Palk Strait looks. According to many, it looks very much like a long-destroyed bridge, now submerged under the ocean.

According to the Hindu tradition, this “strip of land” is a bridge built by Hindu god Rama, as told in the Hindu epic Ramayana. In fact, since ancient times it is known as the “Bridge of Rama” or “Rama Setu”.

The Indian epic Ramayana tells the story of the land bridge and how it was built to serve Hindu god Rama, in order to help him cross the water to reach the large island and rescue his beloved one from the clutches of the demon king Ravanna. It is a story of love, brave deeds and incredible constructions as it seems.

Rama is one of the most famous manifestations of the Supreme God and is recognized as the image, the spirit and consciousness of Hinduism, one of the oldest religions in the world.

The stories which are many times interpreted as facts of Rama’s life, are narrated in the Ramayana, an ancient Sanskrit epic, literally translated to “Rama’s Journey,” which speaks of a time when gods aboard ships (Vimanas) and giants walked the earth. Evidence of the Vimana and the giants have been found across the globe, in different countries.

Today there are numerous opinions among researchers and scientists who believe that this “bridge” is of natural origin. Some say it is the result of a process of increasing the earth’s crust, others that was formed after the separation of Sri Lanka from the Indian mainland. Even though both theories might be correct, the third and oldest one might also be the real deal.

Interestingly, researchers who do not agree that this structures is of natural origin point towards large rectangular blocks of limestone in the base of the structure, which suggest it is an artificial construction. According to scholars, these limestone blocks cannot be the manifestation of mother nature and have to be the result of intelligent beings.

Dr. TS Badrinarayanan, former director of the Geological Survey of India, has conducted an analysis of the structure and has concluded that it is of artificial origin. His team concluded that the materials of the two banks were placed on the sandy bottom to form a causeway. This is apparently visible in the images provided by NASA.

According to ancient Indian texts, Rama lived during the Treta Yuga which is the second of the four ages of the evolution of life.

The most interesting part is that “Rama’s Bridge” as it has been called, has caught the attention of mayor construction companies which have already identified its incredible potential. The Indian government appears to be extremely interested as well. Some believe that this “artificial” bridge needs to be “renovated” and once it regains its former function, it can provide many economical and social benefits to the region. The curious thing about the strait between Sri Lanka and India is that, following the line of the bridge some sort of channel could be built, once passable, it would facilitate maritime traffic in the relative difficult waters of the region. The bridge would make it possible to create roads and railroads and could serve as the basis for a gigantic tidal center, taking advantage of the tidal forces that would generate huge amounts of electricity.

So as we can see, this famous bridge, sometimes referred to as Rama’s bridge” has been the topic of discussion since ancient times, and has fueled many legends that might turn out to be actually true. More interestingly, it has the potential of becoming one of the most important constructions of the region, if governments decide to “renovate” it.

Is it possible that Adam’s bridge is in fact a “man-made” construction, guided by the divinity of the gods? Is there enough evidence to support the theory that this, now collapsed bridge” did exist in the distant past? If so, was it built by the aid of the gods? And what was it true purpose in the distant past?
